Color Inspiration Daily: Agave

I was up super late last night working on a fun Father's Day gift roundup that I'll be posting a little bit later today, and found myself with heavy eyes barely open looking for an image for today's Color Inspiration. I wasn't sure what I was going to post until I spotted this photo of an Agave plant that I took while in California. I absolutely adore the color and hope you don't mind me using it in place of another artist's work today. xo Ez

Pinterest Picks: 05. 21. 12

Happy Monday friends! It feels so great to be back home again. I always get bright-eyed at the thought of being a jet-set gal, but inevitably every time I travel reality shows up and reminds me that at heart I'm more of a homebody. I mean I definitely had a blast on this last trip hanging out with my dear friends in New Jersey, and then flying to California to spend time with my extended family (so it's not a complaint...just more of an observation), but overall I think I like the creature comforts of home a bit too much to make traveling a steady a habit (my bank account thanks me for that). Give me my little home office, the sounds of birds out my window, and two puppies nestled at my feet any day, and I'll be happy as can be!

Anyhow, I'm glad to be back and am looking forward to blogging regularly again! Thanks for stopping by today. xo Ez

Color Inspiration Daily: In My Yard

Okay, so I know the title says "In My Yard, but I technically snapped this photo in my neighbor's yard after I stealthily sneaked into it. There are no fences, so it's really not as creepy as it sounds. I promise. Plus "Color Inspiration From My Neighbor's Yard" sounded a little wordy for a post title.

Regardless, I was really happy to have captured this butterfly in its one split-second of stillness. I must have taken at least 40 photos that look like nothing more than a brown blur in front of some flowers before I got this one. Actually, now that I'm thinking of it, I might have to sneak over again this weekend and see if I can snag a few more butterfly shots. Although I do hate to think of what my neighbors might think if they walk out their door to find me crouched inside their bush with my obnoxiously large camera lens in hand! xo Ez
